I would love to see them remade, there have been a LOT of hints in HG/SS about Hoenn remakes, mainly all of Steven Stone.
Gleaming Ruby and Shining Sapphire sound like awesome names for them

Dive returns as a HM in Black and White! You know how fucking happy I am? Really happy! Now I can go looking for badass Pokemon like that turtle and Water/Ghost jellyfish underwater :3. Also, if the first two Elite Four members are really Dark and Ghost type specialists, it will match Phoebe and Sidney. This just screams for a Ruby and Sapphire remake!

Winona and Furou of Isshu both specialize in Flying types and are the 6th Gym Leaders of their region. Same thing with Jasmine of Johto and Byron of Sinnoh, the only difference being that they're Steel type Gym Leaders. Yet another remake hint!

I think Dive will return as a HM in Pokemon Black and White, which gives me hope for Ruby & Sapphire remakes. If you look at the Isshu region map closely, you can see deep patches of water. The same thing applies with the maps of Hoenn. This doesn't appear on any other regional map. So that's my observation.

With the remakes there's a trend so far that there out for the 10th ani. So why would they bother to create a new graphics engine for a remake when they can do the same as they have always done used the graphics from the current gen. Btw r/s ani is in 2013 so I can't see them rushing out a new gen from black and white.

The Ruby/Sapphire remakes will be on the 3DS not the Nintendo DS.
Cuz the Nintendo 3DS will be out soon, and Black/White/Gray will be on the Nintendo DS which will be the last Pokemon games on the DS.
So then that means that the Ruby/Sapphire remake will probably come out AFTER the 6th gen pokemon games on the 3DS.

I'm pretty sure this will be made soon. Just like Jasmine appearing in Diamond and pearl led to Remakes of Gold and Silver, Steven's appearance will probably mean that in Gen V Ruby and Sapphire will be remade.

How about Pokemon RisingRuby and Pokemon SinkingSapphire, I made these names because of Team Magma's goal in Ruby and Team Aqua's goal in Sapphire, Team Magma's goal was to expand the land and to get rid of the water by using the power of Groudon's Drought ability (Ruby only) and Team Aqua's goal was to rise the water and make lands go underwater by using the power of Kyogre's Drizzle ability (Sapphire only), I hope you like my ideas.

There'd be no sense in a Crystal remake, HG/SS is basically Crystal since all of the legendaries are accessable, you can catch Ho-Oh and Lugia in one game.

Hahaha. I love this... Unlike most people, the Hoenn region was one of my favorite regions. <3 I loved the music, and I feel that Kanto was just burned to the ground... there are only so many times you can battle Misty before you want to kick her in the eye. I still appreciate the older generations, but really... I would LOVE seeing Hoenn in the new style. <3

Boy, if they would make a Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald remake generation, that would be amazing. That was by far my favorite generation, plus, it fits with the pattern. They'll remake Crystal (I'm thinking MindCrystal...) And maybe go for a new gen, then remake R/S/E. I have a lot of memories with my Sapphire. It was the first game I ever caught a Shiny Pokemon in the wild besides Gyarados. I remember the day like it was yesterday. I was walking down victory road and found a level 40 shiny Hariyama holding a king's rock. I also remember how long it took me to find Sootopolis city and catching Kyogre. lol. Ah, the good old days

I don't want Nintendo to go through a pattern of remaking every single Pokemon main series game. FireRed & LeafGreen and HeartGold & SoulSilver are the only ones that needed a remake, as those games were so good, and Gold and Silver's internal batteries eventually die out over a period of 7 years, so many were not able to play their beloved games legally.

You're probably right. HeartGold and SoulSilver came out 10 years after the original Gold and Silver but FireRed and LeafGreen came out 8 years after the original Red and Green. And the 5th Generation is more than likely gonna be on DS, and since DS is still connectable with Ruby and Sapphire, it might be a bit. But you're still right, we'll probably be getting the remakes 2012/2013 or 2013/2014. We'll just have to wait and see.

Thank you but what I would like to know is why we are not able to battle ourselves from GBA cartridge to DS cartridge, thats what I was looking forward to in D & P in 2007 but the rumour was proven false =/ Also people were saying you could be a Gym Leader, fisherman, etc. I think they should implement those into the games, the ability to choose what type of trainer you are, allow you to become a Gym Leader or Elite 4 master etc.

eh, a remake would be nice, but i'm not expecting one, at least not for a long time.
i personally thought r/s/e were the best games so far, though a lot of people didn't like them. i loved the music most of all, maybe even more than the g/s/c music.
nintendo did try to hide a new r/s/e main theme, with more modern music styles, on paltinum, but someone found it through hacking... maybe this is proof that they are at least thinking about it?
i don't have any expectations, but it would be nice.

And I also found it kind of unfair in Emerald how you would battle Maxie more than Archie. I liked it in Ruby and Sapphire where you could battle the leaders in their respective versions two times and where the opposite team in that version were sort of like your allies.

To be honest, I liked Ruby and Sapphire better than Emerald. Steven was a better champion than Wallace and Wallace made a better gym leader than Juan. But the battle frontier from Emerald just blew me away. I hope they include the battle frontier in the remakes like how they put some stuff from Crystal in HeartGold and SoulSilver, that would be so awesome! I just hope they don't go overboard and replace Steven as champion and Wallace as gym leader, and keep Brendan and May's Emerald outfits.

i loved gen 3 i loved all the starters and i loved the designs of the pokemon in gen 3 and i loved the locations. ruby sapphire and emerald were def my fav games. the starters especially. the latest generation was hard cuz i liked none of the starters so it is always hard to pick. but with gen 3 i loved all the starters so it was hard to choose just one lol

They won't replace May. The only reason they replaced Kris with Kotone is because the original Gold and Silver didn't have Kris as a female player character choice. And May was the female player character choice in Ruby and Sapphire. Ruby and Sapphire were also the first paired versions where a female player character could be chosen. So it's only natural that they would include her in the remakes.

Another reason why the Hoenn games should be remade: It is the only region where the Gym Leaders, Elite Four, Champion, and Frontier Brains do not have moving sprites. I also have the perfect name for the remakes: Pokemon MagmaRuby & AquaSapphire because of Teams Magma and Aqua.

If Nintendo did decide to do a Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire remake, it wouldn't come until after the 5th generation Pokemon games. A Ruby and Sapphire remake would be on the next generation handheld console, like Nintendo DS2, Nintendo DSX, Nintendo DSE, or Nintendo TS (Triple Screen).

maybe but a ds cart holds ten times more data than a gba cart so if a gbc cart is capable of two full regions (johto and kanto) who knows? fingers crossed eh?

yeah i hope so - i dont want to rain on anyone's parade here, but even if the ds cart can hold more data, remember there has been a MAJOR graphics update with LOADS of new features added in, and that will definitely take up more space
but lets all pretend i never said that to keep us happy
